What is Psychothera-Teatime?
Psychothera-Teatime is a blog to promote wellness through education, affirmation, and inspiration. Just as many cultures and individuals dedicate regular time to relaxation, reflection, and socialization over a cup of tea, this blog – that addresses a wide scope of psychological and social issues – is intended to give readers pause in their daily lives and share with them information that they may find informative or validating and that they can potentially use to improve aspects of their lives. It also borrows from the phrase “spill or tell the T/tea,” which originated with ballroom culture of the mid to late 20th century and refers to ‘telling the truth.’
I, Dr. James, use my years of education, training, and experience in clinical counseling and psychotherapy to offer information and insights that may be helpful to readers. At the very least, I hope that readers find my blog to be interesting, uplifting, and maybe even a little humorous.
